Many of our early adopters asked for it. Now, receiving reports and alerts on your website field web performance fluctuations in your Slack is possible!
We imagined this feature’s MVP (Minimum Viable Product) as a simple way to keep up to date with your website performance changes and to be alerted when it goes wrong.
How to connect Slack to Speetals?
- click on the “Add to Slack” button.
- Go to “My account”
- Choose the channel where Speetals bot will post messages
- That’s all!
Web Performance reporting:
For now, reporting Slack messages are just for internal pages’ User Experience metrics and they are weekly.
Every monday, you will receive a message from the Speetals Slack bot showing the difference of each metric for each of your monitored pages on mobile and on desktop.
In the example below, the bot informs us about the progress and the regress of each of the 6 monitored metrics fir this URL.
“Compared to last week, users of this URL faced a 1% improvement on CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) metric distribution: We had +1% on users, received a better layout stability.”
Web Performance alerting:
We added a feature to set up Web Performance and Web Vitals alerts. You can choose the frequency of the alerts (Weekly or Daily) and the threshold. In the screenshot below, user chose to be alerted daily if one of the monitored pages regress by at least 3% (on any of the metrics).
User will receive an alert message with the concerned URLs and a link to check the alert content into Speetals app.
When the user click on “Click here to see the details” link, it takes her/him to a screen on the application showing the details. The user can then easily spot what caused the alert on each of the concerned URLs.
